Warp Resistance (Humidity)

Warp resistance is a blind material’s ability to stay flat and true under humidity and heat. It’s the single deciding factor between real and faux-wood: PVC and composite faux-wood shrug off bathroom steam, kitchen splashes, and sun-baked windows without bowing or discoloring, while real wood can warp, crack, or fade in those conditions. The practical rule is a room test, not a look test — damp or intensely sunny openings get faux-wood (or an aluminum blind), and dry, shaded living spaces can enjoy real wood’s lighter weight and grain. Any seller that recommends real wood for a bathroom is selling looks over longevity.
