Light-Filtering Fabric
Light-filtering fabric is the opaque-but-not-dark middle of the fabric range: it diffuses daylight into a soft glow and gives daytime privacy while still passing plenty of light. It’s the default choice for living spaces where you want brightness without a fishbowl feeling — different from a see-through solar screen and from a room-darkening or blackout weave. Two honest notes: light-filtering is not private at night when the room is lit, and it is not room-darkening, so it’s the wrong pick for a nursery nap or a media room. Match the fabric’s stated light control to the room’s actual job rather than to the swatch’s good looks.
